Job Description:

This Graphic Designer position with the Division of Student Affairs Department of Marketing & Strategic Communications provides in-depth hands-on experience for creating print and web graphic support for all areas within the Division of Student Life.

Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide creative solutions to produce professional and innovative designs for all areas of the Division of Student Life to be utilized on print publications, web graphics, promotional materials and building signage.
  • Assist with planning and development of marketing campaigns.
  • Proof all designs for spelling, grammar, and design consistency.
  • Prepare all artwork for print.
  • Maintain and organize the database of marketing materials (e.g. working files, style guides).
  • Attend design meetings with clients/units.
  • Completes all training requirements upon begin hired in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to commit to working 12 hours per week.
  • Other duties as assigned

Expected Salary:

$10.50 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate previous experience with customer service.
  • Demonstrate proficient with verbal and written communication
