Duties and Responsibilities
The post will be based within the Research Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, supporting the Soc-B Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT).
The role holder will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the Soc-B CDT, coordinating all aspects of administration supporting the delivery of the programme, and implementing decisions taken by the CDT Academic Directors. The CDT Manager will provide a first point of contact for the Centre and play a key role in its coordination.
This is a full-time post (1.0fte) and is funded until 30 September 2027 in the first instance.
Key Requirements
Educated to A Level standard or equivalent or proven track record in administration and/or experience within Higher Education administration.
Essential skills: Previous administrative experience (ideally, within a similar environment), experience of monitoring budgets and reporting on expenditure and experience of planning and managing events.
Desirable skills: Familiarity with Higher Educations systems (e.g. for student records, timetabling, financial management) and ability to use web publishing software to produce documents for the web.
