We are looking for a Communications Officer at a pivotal time of transition and change for the organisation
What you’ll be doing
In this role you will assist with research, implementation and updating of messaging frameworks; organise internal communications to explain our brand story and guidelines; support the PR team during periods of key activity and assist other colleagues as required.
We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to he values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do and our feminist principles.
An ideal candidate for the role will also have/ be:
- Organisational & time management (Able to work in an organised way, to plan own time, and adapt and prioritise work to meet deadlines)
- Communication skills (Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt message style and content according to audience, builds rapport)
- Project management (Some experience of managing projects, including tracking progress against targets)
- Team Working (Collaborates with others and work as part of a team)
- Manages own workload without close supervision and works independently on making decisions and problem solving on routine issues/problems.
Provides creative/ innovative solutions to routine problems/ tasks and projects.
Ability to demonstrate commitment to anti-racism and feminism
