Data Entry Clerk (National Only)



iMMAP is an international nongovernmental organisation that provides information management services to humanitarian and development organizations. Through information management, we help our partners target assistance to the world’s most vulnerable populations. Our core philosophy is that better data leads to better decisions and that better decisions lead to better outcomes. iMMAP’s critical support to information value chains helps to solve operational and strategic challenges of our partners in both emergency and development contexts by enabling evidence-based decision-making for better outcomes.


iMMAP will implement a project funded by the Crisis and Stabilization Centre from the French Ministry of Foreign affairs for a period of 13 months. The project, run from iMMAP office in Erbil, aims at supporting humanitarian actors in building their access strategies. iMMAP Risk Mitigation Resource Centre in Iraq will contribute to increasing humanitarian actors’ understanding of access, mobility and security risks in the areas concentrating the humanitarian response by maintaining up to date its explosive incidents data repository covering all the governorates and districts of Iraq and producing relevant information products for the humanitarian community .

Description of Duties:

  • Collect data in the process for data entry to iMMAP system. 
  • Receiving and verifying reports from different sources and enter to iMMAP database. 
  • Maintain a high standard for the GIS capabilities within the Information Management. 
  • Preparing user guide the database and translates to different language. 
  • Perform checks of records to ensure data quality. 
  • Assist the NGO staff in completing and updating all the data fields in iMMAP’s database.
  • Prepare all weekly and monthly reports on Data entry section in Information Management office for the office review. 
  • Able to travel to all provinces in Iraq for any Information Management support. 
  • Perform any additional task assigned by the supervisor. 


Qualifications & Preferred Skills



  • Excellent computer skills in the Windows and Microsoft Office especially MS Excel and MS Access.
  • Basic skills in using ArcGIS software.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Management or computer science or any other related field with at least 1 years or work experience in the field of data management.
  • Good working knowledge of both written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • The ability to translate Arabic to English and English to Arabic
  • Flexible and adaptable to any situation.
  • Ability to work independently while under pressure and during long hours.
  • Possess excellent work habits with a willingness to work in a multi-cultural environment.
