DATA ENTRY COORDINATOR

NYDIS is a 501(c)(3) faith-based federation of faith communities, human services providers, and charitable organizations that work in partnership to provide disaster readiness, response, and recovery services to New York City.

NYDIS is seeking a full-time Data Entry Coordinator for our Ida Flooding Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP). The position will be based at the NYDIS offices in Midtown Manhattan. The Data Entry Specialist will report to the Director of Compliance & Reporting and will collaborate to ensure overall compliance with State contract, data entry and maintenance, and program reporting. The 18-24 month contract spans 10 affected counties within New York State and includes 6 sub-contracts with provider agencies that will deliver disaster case management services to approximately 2,300 Ida flooding impacted households.


Duties include:

  • Collects, assesses, and archives/digitizes data such as client data/records, casework stats, and services provided
  • Supports the Director of Compliance & Reporting with sub-contractor compliance and quality control reviews
  • Supports the Director of Compliance & Reporting with organizing and maintaining a physical file system
  • Maintains a detailed and organized digital file system to ensure data entries are complete and accurate
  • Keeps record of hard copy data such as invoices, client intake forms, and other case related documents
  • Addresses data inconsistencies by working with case managers, administrative staff, and the Director of Compliance & Data to locate missing and correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Attending to data queries and reporting any major data errors to management

Qualifications include:

  • Adhering to best data management practices and maintaining a high standard of accuracy and efficiency
  • Background and experience in data management for Federal grants preferred
  • Embraces and exemplifies the values of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
  • Computer skills – expert in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook, as well as databases, and internet
  • Experienced in charting/graphing and overall report design
  • Exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to spot errors with accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with staff members.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Positive energy and the ability to work collaboratively and patiently with a diverse staff
  • All applicants will be given a federal background check and narcotics drug test prior to employment.
  • Any NYDIS staff who work in our office or directly with clients must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Education and/or experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data management required
  • 2-3 years of experience working in data management and reporting

Immediate Availability. Salary range $60,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience, with excellent benefits.
