EU Projects Manager

The European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) is looking for a Project Manager to join the EU Projects department. S/he will be responsible for managing a technologically cutting edge, flagship project along with a consortium of well-known research, testing and development organisations.

The Role:

As an EU Projects Manager you will be reporting to the Head of EU Projects. You will be responsible for

  • Managing your own project from A to Z autonomously;
  • Executing the reporting of projects while constantly adapting and checking the resource distribution;
  • Participating in and organizing project events and workshops, including moderation;
  • Developing new projects/tenders/initiatives proposals with members and partners in line with the association’s strategy;
  •  Representing the association at meetings and events (e.g. industry fairs) relevant to EHPA’s projects work;
  • Networking with new potential project partners and taking the lead at projects related matchmaking events;
  • Coordinating the work of the Projects Assistant/Officer assigned to support in the delivery of the project;
  •  Supporting the Head of EU Projects.

The Profile :

  • At least 6 years of experience in EU project planning, management and using the tools necessary for accomplishing these tasks;
  • Knowledge of the Horizon Europe programme (LIFE, Interreg and/or any other programme is an asset) procedures , e.g. managing budgets and reporting;
  •  Proven ability to draft multiple project proposals and liaise with a diverse consortium within tight deadlines;
  • Understanding of technical/policy matters and communication tools related to the energy transition/renewable heating and cooling sectors;
  •  Entrepreneurial, teamwork, adaptability and self-management abilities. With a lifelong learning approach of product and procedural improvement;
  •  Being highly organised, with an aptitude in planning effectively to meet deadlines and to go beyond the project proposal ambition, while continually coordinating with other EHPA teams;
  • Fluent spoken and written English – other EU languages is an asset;
  • Enjoy being part of a growing and dynamic international team;
  • Authorised to work in Belgium;
