Finance & Controlling Coordinator for the region CEE/CIS/ME

As a non-governmental social development organisation we support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for the rights of children and young people, in alliance with a great diversity of partners. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year. To support us with this important responsibility the International Office CEE/CIS/ME is looking for a committed:  

 

Finance & Controlling Coordinator for the region CEE/CIS/ME (f/m) 

Part time (0,5) 

 

Location: ViennaAustria 

 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Financial planning & controlling of regional budget 

Preparation of the annual budget of the regional office and consolidation with all four branch offices in close cooperation with the regional Director Finance & Controlling (MS Dyn NAV, D365) 

Prepare and coordinate the periodical financial reviews and forecasts (PowerBI based), close cooperation with various stakeholders 

 

  • Finance administration support for the regional office Vienna 

Bank & cash management, credit card administration, invoices check and preparation for accounting department in International Office (no posting work involved) 

 

  • Event management and regional network facilitation 

Support Finance Team in organising meetings, events with member associations in CEE/CIS/ME, including financial planning, logistics and technical support 

 

  • Support the Finance & Controlling Director 

Back office support, travel management, stakeholder communication, IT, info management and virtual collaboration documentation, support in virtual team coordination

 

Requirements: 

  • University degree in accounting, business economics & administration or related studies (Bachelor) 
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience in a related position  
  • Excellent proficiency in English, sound in German (oral, reading)  
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications, strong excel management skills  
  • Strong communication skills and intercultural competence   
  • Self-steered and structured 
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU 
  •  

  • Following assets are an advantage: 

  • Experience in NGO sector 
  • Moderationfacilitation skills 
  • Experienced in virtual team work
