|Job Description Summary:||The Temporary Human Resources (HR) Director acts as the senior HR adviser to executive leadership, along with front-line engagement with managers and staff. This position reports to the Director, HR Business Partners with a matrix organizational alignment to the organizations they support.
The primary duties of this position are to provide strategic human capital advice, along with overseeing that appropriate HR support and services to executive leadership, managers, and employees are exceptional and available. In this role, the Temporary HR Director ensures that the appropriate and ongoing support and resources are being made available to carry out the activities, education programs, and other strategic opportunities as directed by the executive leadership.
Qualified candidates will possess broad HR experience including recruitment, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, and organizational development. This is a management position at the university that, in addition to leading a work unit, leads and supervises staff directly, makes hiring decisions, provides coaching, training, and mentoring, manages performance, and determines future staffing needs.

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 8 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 6 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
