Job Position: Country Manager Iraq

Function: Customer Development

Reports to: Regional Distributor Manager

Scope: Local

Location: Baghdad, Iraq

Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job

The Country Manager – Iraq needs to ensure:

  • Deliver the growth plan for the country
  • Bring local businesses in line with agreed category, country, and customer plans
  • Build strong relationships with Customers for mutual business benefit
  • Develop local Distributors teams to ensure leadership within local market
  • Lead in market execution
  • Build strong relationship with distributors and Key-customers

Main Accountabilities

  • Create One, high performing and integrated Sales force within the distributors in line with principles of go to market organisational model and benchmark targets
  • Deliver on Annual Plan
  • Continuously improve Customer relations (profitability, growth of share, loyalty, satisfaction, etc)
  • Lead Route to Market planning (Journey plan compliance, ECO…)
  • Lead the growth on channel basis across all regions
  • Bring Win with Customer programme to live and lead continuous improvement of the capabilities of the Distributor team
  • Lead pilots of new innovative channels/ ways to get to shoppers

  • Shopper and Customer marketing, Channel Category development, Customer development excellence, Supply Chain and Finance teams

Critical success Factors for the Job

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience in sales within the Iraqi Market in a multinational environment and/or distributor.
  • Iraqi National
  • Speaks Arabic and English
