PRACSIS, a European affairs communications consultancy, is seeking an IT event assistant in order to:

  • Provide technical expertise/advice/support in the use of web tools for the management of physical, online, and hybrid events.
  • Support the specification and design of web and IT systems, their components and structure to meet defined project needs.
  • Investigate problems and assist with the development of solutions for IT/web incidents.
  • Support web streaming and video conferencing production 

Main responsibilities and skills:

Registrant database management

  • Proficiency with Microsoft excel (and MS Suite generally)
  • Managing cloud and locally hosted file sharing platforms 
  • Managing mailing lists and creating email marketing campaigns
  • Investigate problems and assist with the development of solutions for IT/web incidents.
  • Support web streaming and video conferencing production 
  • Setting up automated emails for event registration workflow

Website building

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other relevant web design coding languages
  • FTP data transfer
  • Integrating web applications
  • Automating workflows
  • User authentication and gated content services
  • Online form and survey building

Graphic design

  • Light graphic design skills desirable; i.e., some familiarity with Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

Web streaming, remote conferencing, and audio-visual services

  • Advanced knowledge of video conferencing tools (such as Zoom) 
  • Leveraging video conferencing tools to support hybrid events
  • Familiarity with, or interest in learning, light video production workflows, software, and hardware

The candidate needs to be fluent in French and English.

Work experience with European Institutions is an important asset.
