Background of Consultancy Request:
The China country office is a bilingual office, with majority of staff being national staff. All reports and proposals for an external audience are required to be in English. In light of the high volume of proposals, reports, human interest stories, and other materials for donors or external audiences, a need has been felt to hire the services of a consultant editor.
The role of the consultants would be to copy-edit and “polish” the office’s reportage – thereby freeing up the time of the PME section to focus on substance and results-based reporting (against proposals and the country programme results matrix). The consultants would also be able to support programme-specific and office-wide advocacy related documentation, based on need.
How can you make a difference?
Your major duties are copy-edit and format key office documents, including: donor reports, human interest stories, proposals, briefs, annual reports and support the office’s specific documentation needs when requested to do so.
