JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking a part-time lecturer of cybersecurity to teach IST 220, Network and Telecommunications for the Spring 2022 Semester.

Job Duties

  • Part-time lecturers prepare course lessons, evaluate students, hold regular office hours, and are expected to become proficient with Canvas, the University’s learning management system. 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification is a master’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or closely related field.  
  • Preferred candidates must have prior teaching at the college level and/or significant experience and certifications in core cybersecurity topics and the course material.

Applicants will be reviewed based on their background, experience, and educational credentials.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here .
