As the management company for Ambulance New Brunswick and the Extra-Mural Program, we’re looking for a Procurement Assistant to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.

Located in Moncton, the Procurement Assistant will be responsible for obtaining vendor and product information; evaluation of product and quotes; issuing purchase orders, and the logistical flow of paper work for the overall acquisition of goods and services. In addition the role will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships and acts as a liaison between EM/ANB and the vendors.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers as well as monitor and approve vendor invoices;

Maintain contact with suppliers to ensure product will arrive on time as requested;

Match purchase orders to packaging slips and invoices for submission to Accounts Payable;

Maintain the ReQlogic catalogue while communicating changes as necessary, this includes keeping the item list updated and providing support to end users;

Act as a liaison with Provincial Regulator or any other health services related affiliates;

Oversee and maintain provincial contracts that have been established for the distribution of goods and services and reconciling accounts for sign off prior to accounting processing for payment;

Ship inventory orders to various locations across the Province;

Coordinate the on/off-site document storage/disposal and maintain storage units and the inventory of items inside it.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you:
Post-secondary education in business or related field;

Minimum of two years related experience working in an office environment, preferably with experience in the health care industry;

Purchasing experience preferable;

Knowledge of fair purchasing practices and conduct;

Knowledge of general purchasing policies and procedures;

Solid knowledge of computer programs in particular MS Office Suites;

General knowledge of accounting systems and reconciling invoices;

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy;

Excellent communications skills as well as being a strong negotiator.

Bilingualism is strongly preferred for this position.
