Vascular and Immune Therapy of Cancer

Position description:

A postdoctoral position is available in the Molecular and Cell Biology Section, Laboratory of Cellular Oncology, NIH to investigate vascular and immune targeting approaches for solid cancers. The project will focus on exploiting immune and vascular therapies to induce cancer cell death or senescence, thereby restricting tumor growth. The project will involve in vitro and in mouse models as well as in silico experiments.  The laboratory is located in the Bethesda, MD, NIH campus.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a highly motivated scientist with a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree, interested in cancer research, and a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, cellular biology, immunology and some experience in bioinformatic analyses. Proficiency in mammalian cell culture techniques, flow cytometry, immunostaining and confocal imaging, molecular techniques, cloning, vector construction, PCR, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting, and experience with mouse tumor models are necessary. The candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to work independently and on a team. Candidates should have evidence of prior scientific publications and should have no more than 3 years of postdoctoral experience at the time of appointment.
