Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is seeking a talented professional for the role of Senior Manager Foundations Organizations and Institutions (FOI) Northern Triangle Hub.

The Senior Manager FOI – Leader Northern Triangle Hub will report to the Senior Director Programs LAC, manage a team and contribute to the leadership of three (3) National Offices in the implementation of the FOI Strategy. The Senior FOI Manager – Leader Northern Triangle Hub in collaboration with the Northern Triangle National Offices, LAC Area Office (AO) and GFOI team will identify pipeline opportunities, targets and share FOI forecasts.

She/he will preposition Habitat work in the Northern Triangle of Central America with FOI donors and peers/partner. The Senior FOI Manager – Leader Northern Triangle Hub will work to meet a high level of quality, productivity and service which leads to strong internal/external partnerships. She/he will be expected to meet a target of approximately 3M+ annually, increasing by 30% each year and contribute to reach a big program impact in the three countries. In accordance with HFH’s global standards, policies and protocols, the Senior FOI Manager – Leader Northern Triangle Hub will develop and/or support and maintain all systems necessary for successful FOI fundraising e.g. CRM, funding pipeline, prepositioning and quality proposals.

The Senior FOI Manager – Leader Northern Triangle Hub will show leadership by ensuring the success of the Northern Triangle Hub team and responsible for setting and implementing goals, motivating, and nurturing members of the team so they can succeed in their roles and careers. The Senior FOI Manager is accountable to the Joint Strategic Committee regarding the FOI Strategy for the sub-region, determining what actions, policies and procedures will lead to success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

To actively direct donor relations internally and externally, lead and manage the Northern Triangle Hub team pipeline, targets, and forecasts (60% of time)

  • Engage as a leader of the Northern Triangle Hub with the national teams of National Organizations (NOs) Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras ensuring each member is contributing to and implementing the FOI Strategy for the sub region in partnership with internal NOs and HFH colleagues.
  • Lead a collaborative process with NOs and HFH colleagues on FOI activity and decision making including the pre-positioning, forecasting, Go/No Go, project design, proposal development processes and after-action reviews (AAR).
  • Identify opportunities in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras through forecasts and market intelligence to establish effective strategic FOI relationships to help achieve HFH’s objectives.
  • Direct all aspects of administration for the Northern Triangle Hub function including key performance indicators and metrics, job plans, Individual Developments Plans (IDPs), team wellness and related processes.
  • Coordination of quality, winning proposals, concept notes and submissions for delivery of a robust pipeline.
  • Develop and manage external FOI relation sub- regionally and NO offices level, including facilitation and convening sub-regionally as well as maintaining the Constituent Relationship Management System (CRM).

As a leader, the senior manager will (15%)

  • Be a member of the GFOI team engaging in GFOI FY25-29 strategic vision, change management, staff wellness, staff development, DEI strategy, FY GFOI annual objectives.
  • Will work closely with the Associate Director GFOI LAC to identify and establish sustaining internal commitment and internal resources required to pre-position the organization, pursue, and maximize resource opportunities and to meet FY25-29 goals.

To manage staff, intern, and contractors (15%)

  • Lead direct reports and contribute towards the supervision of the involvement of external contractors (e.g. grant writers), interns, and contribute to the roster of consultants- as deemed appropriate by GFOI Team.

Accountability to Joint Strategic Committee (NOs Director and AVP) – and functionally supervised by Senior Director of Programs LAC (10%)

  • Present strategic directions multiannual plan and annual budget and plan for approval.
  • Present KPIs and ongoing high-level reports
  • Present annual job plan and receive annual performance evaluation.
  • Monitor Enterprise risk management (ERM) plan.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Years of related experience: 12-15 years of proven FOI partnership/ fundraising experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience in Institutional partnerships/fundraising with key funders (e.g. USAID, EU, IDB. AECID, etc.) with emphasis on pre-positioning/cultivation and networking across peer NGO organizations.
  • Demonstrating success in completing multiple projects concurrently while balancing competing priorities, ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience on leadership and ability to building a team and has excellent team building skills and eagerness to mentor and manage a growing team and practices change management, experience in training and guiding colleagues across a network.
  • Regional experience having experience working within/across the Northern Triangle countries in Central America.
  • High collaborative and solutions-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

Preferred Requirements (in addition to minimum):

  • Brings existing relationships with the top funders in the following sectors, housing/shelter, community development, and international affairs/human services.
  • Previous NGO Programs experience (e.g. “Program Cycle”, MEAL, project design, etc.)
  • Previous experience working at the country / field level within an NGO.
  • Working knowledge of customer relations management (CRM)
  • Knowledge of and passion for Habitat for Humanity’s worldwide mission.
  • Full Spanish and English language skills
  • Ability to travel up to 40%, among Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador.

Work Setting: The person needs to reside in one of the three countries of the Northern Triangle. Work setting will be a combination of working from office and working from home including traveling. The candidate will adjust to the respective policies of the hiring country office.
