The ILO internship program provides talented people with the opportunity to:

a) better understand the relevant issues at the international level, participating directly in the work of the office and in the application of the ILO’s principles, programs and strategies;

Within the framework of its work program, the ILO Country Office for Argentina addresses the following topics: Employment Policies and Professionand promotion of social dialogue.This program is registered in the global programming frameworks agreed by the Board of Directors of the ILO and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the ILO statements on fundamental principles and rights (1998), Social Justice (2008) and the future of work (2019), the world call for action for a recovery focused on the persons of the crisis caused by the COVID-19 that is inclusive, sustainable, sustainable and resilient(2021) as well as in the Strategic Cooperation Framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development System of Argentina (Mecnud).

Learning areas

Under the supervision of the person in charge of the programming area, the person who performs this internship must fulfill the following tasks:

Provide support to the programming unit by updating the instruments for monitoring activities of established projects and in accordance with the agreed periodicity.
Provide support in the elaboration of records, projects and programs and in the collection of information of the various initiatives of the office, as stipulated in the work plan of the area.
Support in the review of activities executed and scheduled as well as financial monitoring according to planning DeThe programming unit, updating the monitoring tool weekly.
Based on the strategic priorities of the office, collaborate in the identification of potential international cooperation alliances or local strategic actors.
Contribute to systematize the updated information of actors and public bodies related to current office activities.
Support the organization of events, workshops, meetings and/or forums led by the area.Support in information collection processes with the other relevant areas or units, if applicable.
Collaborate in the review of operations plans and elaboration of documentation to support the work of the Programming Unit (Minutes, PPT, Summary of Documents, among others) and carry out appropriate monitoring actions.Compilation and systematization of information for such purposes.
Perform other related support tasks when necessary.

Required profile

Impeccable mastery of the Spanish language.Very good knowledge and management of the English, oral and written language.
Good knowledge of how to prepare reports and collect information from different media.
Excellent knowledge of the use of Excel and other computer tools.
Ability to interrelate, communicate and collaborate in an international and multicultural work environment.
Ability to work on its own initiative and as a team member.
Previous knowledge about international organizations will be assessed, as well as the use of terminology related to the world of work.

Education

Have a degree in Political Science, Sociology, International Relations or related areas.Being pursuing the last year of a postgraduate degree or having completed it the year before the postulation to internshipIt is an advantage, but it is not mandatory.

Languages

Impeccable mastery of the Spanish language.Very good knowledge and management of the English, oral and written language.

Culmination

Competencies that you can acquire during the internship:

 Knowledge of the mandate and the organization’s program of activities;
 Knowledge and practice of programming within a United Nations Agency.
 Knowledge of the projects that are carried out in the ILO.
 Knowledge and management of information sources and documents of the organization.

Monday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
