The position:

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Guinea recruitsfive (5) driversqualified to support its operations in the offices ofKindia, Mamou, Labor, Kankan and N’cérekore.

Objective of the position:

You will be responsible for:

Provide reliable and safe driving services: Driving office vehicles for the transport of staff, civil servants and visitors to UNFPA;Delivery and collection of mail and documentation;Meet official staff and visitors to the airport, including managing visa and customs formalities if necessary;

Keep up to date with traffic and roads, as well as safety and awareness to allow a safe arrival and on time at meetings;
Manage all aspects of vehicle maintenance;Perform minor repairs and cleaning;Organize major repairs and maintenance to ensure that the vehicle remains in good working order;hold daily vehicle registers;and help preparing vehicle maintenance plans and history reports;
Follow up on insurance and tax formalities;
Act as a translator in the local language for official passengers, if necessary;
Guide and supervise junior drivers, if applicable;
Help the staff of the country office in general administrative tasks, according to needs.

Qualifications et Experiences:

Education:

Have the study certificate of 1iscycle (BEPC)

Knowledge and experience:

Valid driving license.
Two years minimum of professional experience as a driver in an international organization, an embassy or the United Nations system with a good driving file.
Knowledge of driving rules and regulations, protocol and courtesy of the driver, as well as local roads and conditions, as well as defensive driving skills.
Competence in minor vehicle repairs.
