JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

Tasks to be performed under this contract
Layout of one PDF document: 1 toolkit (Guideline to address emergency situations determined by sudden, unplanned, increase of migrants’ arrivals) of approximately 50 pages, in English language.

Category B Consultant hired to deliver a report on a two-instalment payment basis:

  1. First deliverable – Toolkit layout proposal and graphic design – Deliverable by email by 10 September 2025 – First Instalment Payment (20% of overall contract value)
  2. Final deliverable – Toolkit ready for publication – Deliverable by email by 30 September 2025 – Second and Final instalment payment (80% of overall contract value)

3 Experience working with international, governmental and non-governmental institutions

Points are assigned based on the relevance of the institutions served and coherence of the editing works carried out
4 References from other clients

Points are assigned based on reported and documented references

 

 

Instalments as per deliverables described:

1-20% of overall contract value

2-80% of overall contract value

Required Qualifications

Education, experience and skills required:
  1. Technical description of the proposal, including CV of the person or persons involved in the activity.
  2. At least 5 years of experience with following skills required: creativity and innovation, proficiency in design software, typography and layout skills branding and visual identity, infographics and data visualization, attention to detail, communication skills, project management.
  3. At least two recent references (not older than 6 months) by previous clients.
  4. List of editing services carried out in the last 3 years; works already carried out for IOM are a valuable asset.
  5. Economic tender.
  6. Education: bachelor”s degree in graphic design or a related field such as fine arts or visual communication; any other relevant diploma acquired on that relevant field (EQF 3 – Upper secondary education or vocational training).
Languages
  • Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English is required
IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.

Duration of Consultancy:

1 Month from the start of the signature (tentatively from 1 September 2025 to 30 September 2025)

Consultants are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
