Introduction
The Government of Angola, through the Ministry of Health (MINSA) with support from
UNDP under the Global Fund COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM), is implementing critical infrastructure works to strengthen hospital resilience and ensure uninterrupted provision of essential health services. These interventions include installation of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants, medical gas distribution systems, and improved waste management facilities across priority hospitals.
At Kapalanga Hospital, the expansion of services has created a need to protect sensitive installations—including the PSA generator facility and the central waste incineration unit, against soil erosion, runoff, and structural instability. To safeguard these facilities and ensure long-term operational safety, the construction of a retaining wall (muro de contenção) has been identified as a priority.
The proposed retaining wall will be constructed using gabion technology combined with geotextile layers and reinforced foundation works, in line with international best practices for slope stabilization and drainage management. This intervention will ensure environmental protection, extend the lifespan of critical hospital assets, and maintain safety for staff, patients, and surrounding communities.
Interested suppliers must submit their offer directly in the system as instructed in the solicitation document, following the instructions in the available user guide.
