Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education
· A Graduate of an Institute or University in the field of Information Technology, Information Management, Geo-informatics or GIS, or Computer Sciences, or similar field.
Experience
· At least 5 years of working experience in GIS, including satellite imagery analysis and remote sensing.
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the humanitarian field.
· In-depth knowledge of database and GIS software.
· Experience in humanitarian information management, GIS, database management, data visualization and geospatial data analysis.
· Good knowledge of programming theory and relational database principles.
· Programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript or Model Builder applications.
· Experience in humanitarian mine action is advantageous, but not essential.
· Good level of reporting skills
Soft skills
· Excellent analytical skills with ability to assimilate information
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Flexible and adaptable to any situation.
· Self-reliant and able to work independently with limited supervision
· Effective management skills to effectively task staff assigned under their supervision.
