Job Summary

The Advisor II, Global Marketing Strategist develops and executes marketing strategies and produces materials that strengthen and position CRS as a trusted, high-impact partner for institutional donors, foundations, and multilateral organization. The Global Marketing Strategist produces high-quality content and serves as a strategic global thought partner, supporting both urgent and long-term communications needs across the agency. In close collaboration with concerned units to ensure marketing strategies are in strong alignment of messaging, storytelling, and strategic positioning.

Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner on approaches for priorities donor relationships.
  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies that position CRS as a trusted and innovative partner for institutional donors, foundations and multilateral organizations.
  • Write, edit and produce high-quality content including capacity and positioning statements, briefs, pitch materials, concept notes, factsheets, talking points, project overviews and success stories for priority stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Engagement and Global Programs to translate technical program achievements into compelling, donor-focused materials that demonstrate impact and value.
  • Produce high-quality marketing materials that support priority objectives, including long-term campaigns and urgent needs.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and brand identity across all institutional donor materials, including proposals, pitch decks, impact reports, and visual storytelling assets.
  • Partner with Policy and Government Relations to align marketing materials with advocacy priorities and global positioning goals.
  • Coordinate with the Content & Creative Studio and other G-REM teams to ensure aligned messaging and storytelling across channels.
  • Establish systems that improve and sustain communications capacity across regional and country offices.
  • Provide support to the Manager II, Global Marketing in the production and strategizing marketing materials reflecting agency priorities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Solid understanding of a variety of audiences: Institutional donors, donor organizations, peer organizations, CRS global and field partnerships, the local and global Church
  • Excellent written, oral communication skills
  • Proficient skills in Adobe, InDesign, Canva or other graphic design platforms
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated, proactive, resourceful and productive
  • Demonstrated ability to produce a high volume of quality content under tight deadlines
  • Strong research, analytical, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with deadlines
  • Flexible to changing contexts; respectful of guidance by those closest to the issues
  • Strong training and representation/coaching skills
  • Active collaborator

Required Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English.

Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 30%

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor”s degree in Marketing/ Communications,
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in communications and/or marketing
  • Experience working with international non-governmental organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in areas of development and humanitarian programming
  • Overseas work experience
