Qualifications & Preferred Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Development Studies, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics, Business
  • Experience in an administrative, office support, or project support role.
  • Strong organizational skillswith the ability to maintain filing systems and keep project records accurate and up to date.
  • Proficiency in IT skillsspecifically Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) and MS Office (Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, follow instructions, and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to assisting with daily project tasks.

The ideal candidate should also have:

  • Up to 2 years of experience in project supportcoordination, or humanitarian/development work
  • Experience of reporting, coordination, or stakeholder engagement 
  • Exposure to budgeting/ reporting 
  • Engaging with a variety of stakeholders and sharing learning
  • Prior experience with international humanitarian organization
  • Ability to learn new software and reporting tools quickly.
  • Good coordination and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines  
  • Good IT skills
  • Very good interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written Arabic 
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Please note that this role will be based in Basra or Muthanna, Iraq. Applicants must possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in Iraq. Frequent travel within Federal Iraq is required, and occasional trips abroad and KRI. At least 50% travel to the field and project sites in Muthanna.
