The successful candidate will have:
Experience & Qualifications
- A degree and/or equivalent qualification in Finance, Admin, or Logistics
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within an INGO
- Experience in accounting, treasury management, cashbooks, petty cash, and payroll
- Experience working with finance, admin, and HR policies and procedures
- Experience in procurement and logistics functions
- Experience engaging with stakeholders at different levels, including government authorities
- Experience in security awareness, risk analysis, and recommending appropriate actions
- Good experience using software and online systems
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, databases, and advanced Excel
- Fluent in spoken and written Arabic
- Good spoken and written English
- Understanding and sensitivity to cross-cultural environments
- Flexible and adaptable in changing environments
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Integrity and ability to represent Tearfund professionally
Note: This role will be based in Basra, Iraq. Applicants must possess a valid passport/visa stating the right to live and work in Iraq. This role requires frequent travel within Kurdistan and Federal Iraq is required, and occasional trips abroad at 60-65% travel to the field.
The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
