OVERALL MISSION

  • Covering a scope of three countries (Benelux);
  • Leading a Team of Accountants;
  • Transversal management with local Tax accounting providers & auditors;
  • Responsible for the accuracy of accounting books;
  • Responsible for the compliance with local fiscal and accounting rules;
  • Controls and ensures the correct implementation of the company administrative policy;
  • Provides timely and accurate accounting information to the management;
  • Establish Local Financial statements, VAT returns, Tax returns and other local requirements.

Job responsibilities

ACCOUNTING

  • Responsible for accuracy and adequacy of accounting records in all areas (Sales & bank reconciliation, Intercos, Payroll, Amortization, accounts payable, Treasury, Cash Pooling, Tax, accruals booking & understanding, payroll entries, expense notes, etc…);
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset monitoring (activation, depreciation, write-off);
  • Monitor cash problematics and key contact for his/her region with Paris HQ;
  • Responsible for VAT & intratstat declarations;
  • Responsible for local statitics requests;
  • Responsible for Financial Statements & Tax returns.

CONSOLIDATION

  • Group reporting Syrus for Actuals, monthly, quarterly and annual closing;
  • Monitor IFRS entries in collaboration with Financial controllers (IFRS 16);
  • Key point of contact for Accounting matters for Paris HQ.

Profile

  • Strong command of English, knowledge of at least one regional language is an advantage (French, Dutch or Nordics languages);
  • Substantial previous experience in Accounting in a similar role;
  • Experience in leading and developing a team;
  • Works autonomously and demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude;
  • Very good skills in MS Office;
  • SAP knowledge and/or experience is a plus;
  • Ability to analyze, report on areas of responsibility and results oriented;
  • Attention to detail and high standards;
  • Team player and able to build good professional working relationships with peers and management in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
