Audiovisual Technician – Audio Visual engineer

WE ARE
Unit C.5 provides corporate audio-visual services to the Commission, Agencies, and Offices,
primarily in Brussels.
Our primary responsibilities include maintaining, defining, and implementing audio-visual solutions
for meetings and conference rooms.
In addition to acting as the single point of contact for infrastructure works in meeting rooms, our
unit manages SCIC intra-institutional audio-visual framework contracts. It provides operational
procurement services and inventory management.
We are committed to continuously improving the meeting room experience by testing, evaluating,
and implementing technical solutions, focusing on enhancing audio quality.
We also foster cooperation with international organisations on audio-visual solutions, including
sound quality.
WE PROPOSE
Audio-Visual (AV) Engineer:
SCIC.C.5 is seeking to hire one experienced audio-visual engineer:
You will work closely with the Head of the Sector of Technical Management of Audio-visual Projects

to manage and execute AV installation projects as part of our overall AV meeting space strategy in
Luxemburg.
You will create and maintain AV plans in collaboration with meeting room managers, software
suppliers/developers, and support staff.
You will also be responsible for selecting and installing AV solutions and ensuring their
maintenance following our AV standards and management software.
The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills, understand stakeholder needs
and translate functional requirements into technical solutions while keeping track of the total cost
of ownership of AV installations.
Key responsibilities:
– Act as the primary contact point for AV-related matters related to our sector in Luxembourg
– Manage technical installations and maintenance of meeting spaces
– Conduct AV projects and perform technical and functional analyses

The ideal profile for the job is an AV engineer with at least 2 years of experience in audiovisual
engineered project management and execution while having a least one year in procurement and
contract management.

General criteria:
• Are a citizen of a Member State of the EU and enjoy full rights as a citizen
• Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by applicable laws concerning military service
• Are physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post
• Produce the appropriate character references as to suitability for the performance of the duties.
Qualifications:
In order to be recruited for this position, you must have at least
• a level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
• a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary
education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
Only qualifications issued or recognised as equivalent by EU Member State authorities (e.g. by the
Ministry of Education) will be accepted. Furthermore, before recruitment, you will be required to
provide the documents that corroborate the eligibility criteria (diplomas, certificates and other
supporting documents).
Languages:
•
have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the
EU2
• AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU,
to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.
