Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- University degree in social work, psychology or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a social worker, caseworker, or case manager within an NGO.
- Experience providing case management, basic psychosocial support services, experience providing psychological first aid. Working in a protective shelter environment is a plus.
- Experience working with survivors of GBV, trafficking, and other populations experiencing a lack of social protection and social inequalities desirable.
- Strong belief in human rights and gender equality.
- While all case managers will receive training and supervision, the case manager must be compassionate, confident, diligent, trustworthy, resourceful, interested in learning new skills, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal skills including the ability to gain trust and build relationships with team members and clients.
- Strong computer skills.
- High standard of spoken and written English, Arabic, and Kurdish.
- Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
