The Role
The Learning Skills Facilitator will contribute to strengthening the skills and training sector at the country level (Tuvalu), it also plays a crucial role in enhancing learning and development that are essential in promoting continuous learning and development in support for skills and training in Tuvalu.

This position will support the Country Lead as a team in the implementation of in-country activities. The position will provide a baseline understanding of the existing skills levels within the Pacific Australia Skills Program in Tuvalu.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Under the direction and guidance of the Country Lead assist with the mentoring, coaching and support of partner institution staff in the development and delivery of training that complies with the standards of the national regulator
  • Thorough assessment of learning needs and identification of skills gaps
  • Thorough evaluation of program effectiveness
  • Evaluate the current skills and knowledge of educational training providers and aimed at strengthening capacity and capability in training delivery and assessment.
  • Provide a baseline understanding of the existing skill levels within the organization, allowing for targeted development efforts
  • Identify targeted strengthen capacity and capability needs in training delivery and assessment
  • Providing guidance and support to learners
  • Collaborate with in-country Skills Adviser in developing and updating training materials
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align learning initiatives with organisational goals
  • Liaise with the in-country skills team as well as Country Lead in monitoring and evaluating program impact

Selection Criteria

Essential Experience and Knowledge

· Demonstrated experience in skills development with experience in adult education, training, or facilitation. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles

· Tertiary qualification in education, Training, Instructional design or related discipline

· Experience working with diverse groups of learners with background in instructional design and delivery

· Excellent communication and facilitation skills; flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic learning environment
