Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required Education, training, license, registration, and/or Certification
1.    Bachelor’s degree in social science (Social Work, Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related field).
2.    Relevant master’s degree would be an advantage. 
 

Required Professional Experience

  1.  1-3 years of experience in implementation of humanitarian programs involving rural communities to promote humanitarian response 
    2.    Demonstrated experience in emergency response
    3.    Strong understanding of child protection principles, safeguarding, and PSEAH
    4.    4-6 years of development and/or relief work at the programmatic level. 
    5.    Experience in integrated program/project cycle management 
    6.    Experience living and working in a fragile context 
    7.    Mentoring within cross cultural contexts.
    8.    Experience managing and leading grant implementation is highly advantageous.
     

Required Language(s)

  1.  Fluency in local languages: Arabic, Kurdish, and Turkmen (if possible).
    2.    Working knowledge of English; able to write reports in English. 
     

Required travel and/or work environment accommodations

  1.  Up to 60 Per Cent domestic travel.

 

Position’s physical requirements

  1.  Presence according to WVI P&C policy

 

Preferred Experience, Knowledge and/or other Qualifications

  1.  Experience in school and Household Mobilization and related fields are preferred.
    2.    Working knowledge of English and ability to write reports in English.
    3.    1-3 years of experience in implementation of humanitarian programs involving rural communities to promote humanitarian response.
    4.    Experience in project implementation and programming knowledge in Education and Child Protection.
    5.    At least 3 years’ experience in Education program
    6.    Minimum 3 years of work experience with children (teaching, nursery, social work, etc.)
    7.    At least one-year experience in project implementation working with international organizations. 
    8.    Ability to produce clear and well-organized documents
    9.    Experience in Community Mobilization activities 
    10.    Computer aptitude and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
