Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in documentation, investigations, human rights, criminal justice, legal documentation, transitional justice, or related fields.
- Experience conducting survivor or witness interviews is highly desirable.
- Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or accountability mechanisms is an asset.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Rights, International Relations, Political Science, Criminology, Social Sciences, or another relevant field.
- Training in documentation, investigations, human rights, or international criminal law is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Strong interviewing and communication skills.
- Knowledge of international crimes, including genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
- Familiarity with survivor-centred and trauma-informed approaches.
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
- Experience with documentation databases and evidence management systems.
- Strong report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Fluency in Shingali-Kurmanji, Arabic, and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
- Willingness to travel frequently to field locations and work in challenging environments.
