PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the Islamic Relief values and principles as well as commitment to Islamic Relief World wide’s vision and mission.

Experience

• 2–3-year experience in the field, proven work experience in Media and Communication similar role
• Proven experience as Media and Communication similar role or relevant position

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organizational skills
• Good facilitation skills.

Personal Qualities

• Minimum bachelor’s degree preferably in communication/media or related fields.
• Ability to deal with complex situation and solve issues and problems
• Flexibility and Patient
• Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a team.
• Empathy with understanding of the basic values of Islamic Relief
• Energetic and able to operate in situations which may be arduous.
• Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic is required

Desirable

• Certification as communication and media will be an advantage

WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED

• Ability to travel over Islamic Relief offices across Iraq
