Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required qualifications:

Education:

Must have:

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills (Arabic).

  • Demining/Search Course

  • Team Leader Course

  • Iraq / IMAS EOD 3 Course

Desirable:

  • Any other mine action related course.

  • English language qualification

  • Driving licence (Government issued).

Experience:

Must have:

  • 24 months or more experience working as a searcher/TL

Desirable:

  • Driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

Personal Competencies:

  • Ability to work well within a team environment.

  • Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively.

  • Proactive and positive attitude.

  • Excellent timekeeping.

  • Willingness to learn and enhance personal skills.

  • Able to work effectively under stressful situations and in austere conditions.

  • Willingness & ability to travel within the country.

  • Maintain a smart appearance.

Additional Considerations:

The Multi-Task Team – Team Leader is to abide by the policies and personal codes of conduct set by the Norwegian People’s Aid (NPA) and represent the organisation in a professional and responsible manner.
