description of the Assignment:  

The overall objective of this assignment is to develop a high-quality and Government-compliant Development Project Proposal (DPP) for the scale-up of the Local Government Initiative on Climate Change (LoGIC II). The assignment will involve reviewing existing LoGIC project documents, achievements, lessons learned, evaluation findings, assessments, and relevant policy and planning frameworks to ensure that the proposed intervention builds on previous successes and addresses identified gaps. The consultant will conduct consultations with relevant government institutions, UNDP, UNCDF, and other key stakeholders to inform the design of the programme. Based on these consultations and analyses, the consultant will develop the overall project design, results framework, implementation arrangements, and financing strategy. The assignment further includes preparing the DPP, together with all required annexes, cost estimates, implementation modalities, and supporting documentation, in accordance with the requirements of the Government of Bangladesh. The consultant will also facilitate the review and validation of the draft DPP, incorporate feedback and recommendations from UNDP, UNCDF, the Local Government Division (LGD), the Planning Commission, and other relevant stakeholders, and support the finalization of the DPP for submission and approval.

 

Period of assignment/services ; 20 working days over 2 months, from  October 2026  to November 2026

 

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
