Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in international relations, Conflict Resolution, Management, Social Sciences or any related field from an accredited academic university or institute or;
- University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in working for an International NGO or UN agency in the field of humanitarian and emergencies, complex post-conflict recovery or stabilization contexts is required.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, community leaders, and other national/international institutions in a multicultural setting.
- Excellent work planning and project implementation skills.
- Good communication skills and excellent ability to coordinate across multiple internal units and external organizations.
- Understanding migration, reintegration processes, and climate change vulnerability within the context of IOM programming is an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required; basic data analysis skills are desirable.
- General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations, and procedures governing administration is considered an advantage.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Working knowledge of any other langue is an advantage.
