Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Education

•          University Diploma Level, preferably in the field of Social Sciences (Political Sciences, International Public Law, Anthropology, Economics, etc.)

Experience

•          Essential: Experience working in complex humanitarian or operational environments

•          Essential: Demonstrated experience in contextual analysis, reporting, coordination, and liaison with multiple stakeholders

•          Essential: Experience supporting or working closely with senior coordination or field management roles

•          Desirable: Previous experience with MSF (any Operational Centre)

•          Desirable: Prior professional experience in the Soran Independent Administration, Erbil Governorate, or similar contexts

•          Desirable: Experience working in remote, rural, or mountainous areas

•          Desirable: two years’ previous experience in similar jobs in the field of humanitarian aid with MSF or other NGOs

•          Desirable: Experience in emergency responses, project start-ups, or rapidly evolving operational settings

Languages                      

•          Kurdish (Sorani and Badini) – high level oral and written command

•          English – high level oral and written command

Knowledge

•          Strong understanding of humanitarian principles and MSF values

•          Essential computer literacy (word, excel, Internet/social media)

•          Ability to synthesize complex contextual information into operationally relevant analysis

•          Cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal communication skills

•          High level of knowledge of local culture and customs
