Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related field; a medical or health-related background is considered an asset.
Experience
- Minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience as a Project Officer or in a similar role, preferably within public health, climate-related, disaster risk reduction, or humanitarian/development projects.
- Proven experience supporting project implementation, particularly in complex or challenging operational environments.
Languages
- Strong communication skills with professional proficiency in Arabic and English.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with demonstrated strength in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with the socio-political, environmental, and operational context of Iraq, particularly in Basra Governorate.
- Ability to work effectively with partners, authorities, and community stakeholders
