Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Language Skills: Fluent in Arabic; knowledge of English is an advantage.
- Education Degree: University degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Disaster Risk Reduction, Natural Resource Management, Water Resources Engineering, or another related discipline.
- Work experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in DRR, climate resilience, EbA/agroecology, water management or related community-based programming.
- Knowledge & skills: Strong technical knowledge of Early Warning Systems, DRR, EbA/agroecology, water infrastructure and nature-based solutions; good analytical, planning and writing skills; training and facilitation skills.
- Computer skills: Good knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of GIS/mapping tools is an advantage.
Other: Experience working with community committees and at-risk populations; good capacity-building and supervisory skills; familiarity with the local context; valid driving license is an advantage.
