Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Essential requirements:
- Female psychologist (requirement based on beneficiary sensitivity and cultural context).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in psychosocial support, preferably in humanitarian or protection settings.
- Proven experience working with GBV survivors and highly vulnerable women.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience with NGOs/INGOs or UN agencies.
- Knowledge of local context and cultural sensitivities.
- Experience in group facilitation.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and informed consent.
- Respect for do no harm principles.
- Immediate referral of cases requiring specialized or clinical intervention beyond scope.
- Compliance with safeguarding and protection policies.
Additional requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism.
- Ability to work with highly vulnerable populations under stress.
- Ethical practice aligned with psychological standards.
