REF058 Protection and Education Project Manager

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum Bachelor’s degree in management, social work, psychology, pedagogy, international relations, or community development with a focus on children and/or youth or another related field of studies.
• At least 5 years experience in a management position (with direct supervision of staff in a cross-cultural setting) with an NGO/UN.
• At least 5 years of experience implementing and leading legal assistance, child protection and education programs as a PM
• Proven track record in capacity building, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
• Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
• Well-versed with Humanitarian Principles, Protection Principles, and internationally recognized minimum standards in Child Protection, including the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian context and coordination mechanisms in Iraq.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strongly diplomatic and capable of leading on difficult mediation and negotiations;
• Solid programmatic, organizational planning, and reporting skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (with a focus on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
• Creative, proactive, positive, and flexible;
• Very high mobility required, strongly motivated by humanitarian work ethics.

Languages: Mandatory: Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic..
