Job profile and responsibilities

IMA-Europe is offering a part-time position as Secretary, and we are looking for a motivated and service-minded candidate, to immediately join our team in Brussels. As a Secretary, you’ll assist the Director-General with the office management and provide administrative support to the team.

Essential job functions

  • Reception of visitors and deliveries to the office;
  • Organise logistics for meetings and events: Venue booking, Catering, Participant lists, Travel & hotels when needed; Assisting event organisation;
  • Maintain membership and working-group databases up to date, update contact lists, and assist with membership correspondence;
  • Publication in official journal;
  • Any other secretarial or administrative duties as may be required by the Director General.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in an administrative/secretarial role, ideally in a multilingual/international environment;
  • Excellent command of English and French. Another EU language is an asset;
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision;
  • Computer literate (MS Office);
  • Rigorous, flexible, service-minded and with excellent organisational skills.

Who are we?

IMA-Europe is a trade association in Brussels, representing the European industrial minerals producers. Our field of activity focuses on all non-commercial issues related to minerals, from their extraction and processing through to their whole life cycle. Priorities revolve around health and safety at the workplace, environmental protection, product safety, and public awareness about the importance of industrial minerals.
