Required Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma/certificate with at least six years of relevant work experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields with at least four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in supporting programme implementation in the field of migration and border governance in Iraq including operational and field experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, especially law enforcement and border authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Prior work experience with international organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
- Experience in the usage of office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and knowledge of spreadsheet and data analysis.
- In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration and border governance related subject areas dealt with by the Organization.
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of IOM financial rules and regulations.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
Working Knowledge in any other language is an advantage
