En tant qu”agence principale des Nations Unies pour le développement, le PNUD est bien placé pour contribuer à la réalisation des ODD dans le cadre de nos activités dans quelque 170 pays et territoires.

Nous aidons les pays à atteindre les ODD par le biais de solutions intégrées. Les défis complexes auxquels nous sommes confrontés aujourd’hui – de la lutte contre les inégalités à la prévention des conflits – ne peuvent être résolus de manière isolée. Cela signifie aussi trouver des solutions qui répondent aux réalités quotidiennes des populations.

Nos antécédents de travail dans la réalisation des Objectifs nous apportent une expérience précieuse et une expertise reconnue en matière de politiques nous permettant d’atteindre tous les objectifs fixés dans les objectifs de développement durable d’ici 2030. Mais nous ne pouvons le faire seuls.

La réalisation des objectifs de développement durable nécessite le partenariat des gouvernements, du secteur privé, de la société civile et des citoyens, afin de garantir la création d”une planète meilleure pour les générations futures.

Context

Our personnel mostly speak French, making it challenging for them to express themselves clearly in English. This can interfere with their professional development. The goal of the English courses is to help these personnel acquire tips on how to become fluent in English, and practice English on a more regular basis.

UNDP Madagascar is looking for twenty-one online volunteer to conduct English class for their personnel. Specifically, this task involves finding innovative ways to conduct English lessons. The aim is to develop and provide materials and strategies that will help our colleagues to cope well with English in all four competencies: reading, writing, listening and speaking

Key Responsibilities

The online volunteer will do the following:

Develop a lesson plan by taking into account a pre-assessment that will have already been conducted to evaluate the personnel competency in English ;
Deliver some English classes, by ensuring that all competencies are covered (listening, speaking, writing and reading) ;
At the end of the assignment, on the last lesson of each group, administer a test to the participants to assess their level after 12 weeks of lessons ;
Deliver a certificate to the participants who have succeeded to the all the assessments (test, interview…) with all required criteria.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in the teaching of English as a foreign language (at least five years of experiences). Similar experiences with UN Agencies will be highly considered.
Knowledge of the use of ICT, responsibility, planning and coordination skills are required. A degree in education, English as a foreign language, is required.
Application must contain CV of candidates with copies of their diploma and evidence of their most relevant experiences (references contact included)

Training in English at UNESCO-recognized universities/institutes will be a considerable asset in the evaluation of applications.
