UN Volunteer: UN Volunteers: Design Support to Develop a Guidance Infographic for Filling the MS3 Form – Islamabad

FAO - Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mission and objectives

The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Board. At the country level, UNV Field Units interact with UN entities to strategically and meaningfully integrate volunteerism into the implementation and delivery of their mandates. As part of this process, UNV works with UN entities to identify opportunities where volunteers add specific and unique value to development programmes and peacekeeping missions.

Context

This OV assignment is part of the UNV Pakistan country office’s efforts to streamline, optimize, and update its volunteer onboarding process – specifically the medical clearance form for onboarded volunteers. The assignment will support and enhance delivery outcomes for our partner agencies by enabling the country office to deploy volunteers more quickly and efficiently. While also adhering to organizational policies and best practices in support of the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) medical services – the entity that issues volunteer medical clearance. Note: The onboarded OV will be based remotely and will not be hosted at any duty station or field office by the United Nations.

Task Description

Under the day-to-day direct supervision of the Coordination Support Assistant at the UNV Pakistan Country Office, the online volunteer will support UNV to design a single-sided, one-page (A4), static, infographic with a sequential, flowchart or visual-centric theme, design, and structure. This guide will help candidates fill out the document and identify common mistakes (to be shared after onboarding) that they should avoid, in both English and Urdu. The final deliverable is to be provided as an editable, source file format – alongside high resolution .png, .pdf., and .jpg versions of the same. Multiple and distinct design variations are recommended to help design selection and finalization. The onboarded candidate will be provided with the UN Employment Medical Review Questionnaire (MS3) for Medical Clearance.
