APWCR is incorporated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes and strives to protect and promote human rights through research, education, advocacy, and developmental programs in targeted communities in the United States of America and Africa, with a focus on women, children, and youths.

Context

The Association for the Protection of Women’s and Children’s Rights (APWCR) is committed to protecting vulnerable women and children in conflict-affected regions of Cameroon. APWCR implements community-based projects that focus on education, protection, gender justice, and empowerment. As we expand our programming and seek new funding partners, we are looking for an experienced online volunteer to support our team with grant research and proposal writing. This critical role will help sustain our interventions and increase organizational resilience.

Task Description

The volunteer will identify and compile a list of relevant funding opportunities and calls for proposals from government bodies, UN agencies, foundations, and NGOs aligned with APWCR’s mission. Using project briefs and organizational data, the volunteer will help draft at least two customized grant proposals or concept notes and prepare supporting documents such as budgets, cover letters, and organizational profiles. The volunteer will work closely with APWCR’s Programs Officer and receive timely guidance and feedback. Communication will occur via email and virtual meetings where needed.
