JOB DESCRIPTION

Result of Service
UNRWA seeks the services of an Admin Support Officer to oversee the administrative tasks and processes required in the implementation of the social work capacity development and support project that aims to strengthen the psychosocial resilience of Palestine refugees through social work interventions and the staff care project that aims to provide mental health support to UNRWA staff.

5 months (1 July 2025 to 30 November 2025)

Duties and Responsibilities
– Performs a full range of office management and administrative support functions providing direct assistance, as requested by supervisor to staff within the department; – Prepares travel documents and follows up on travel arrangements for the department’s personnel; – Responds to and drafts responses to a wide range of correspondences and other communications as requested by supervisor and officers in the department, uses standard software applications to produce a wide variety of documents and reports; – Provides support to committees, ad hoc tasks forces, etc., drafts and circulates agenda notes to members/participants, drafts minutes of meeting, organizes workshops and conferences and monitors follow-up actions; – Records and monitors expenditure against allotted fund, orders supplies for departmental use and supervises distribution, maintains inventory records of supplies and prepares survey reports as required; – In support of department/division, coordinates with concerned parties on all HR matters, including contract renewals, new appointments, separations; – Acts as a focal point for REACH/SAP support services and provides first line assistance to users in the department; drafts and operates Micro Purchase Order, Purchase Orders and Requests Service Entry Sheet as requested; assists in preparation of the technical reports, complies, analyses and verifies statistical data; and – Performs other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor(s).

Qualifications/special skills
Academic and professional qualifications – A university degree from an accredited educational institution in business management or a related discipline Experience – At least 3 years of relevant work experience; – Good knowledge of office policies and administration; and – Experience in using a variety of software applications to support communication and collaboration and increase overall productivity.

Languages
Excellent command of spoken and written English.

Remuneration: The daily rate is JOD 38.93 per working day.
