Organizational context
The United Nations World Food Program is the largest humanitarian agency in the world that fights hunger throughout the world.The PMA mission is to help the world achieve zero hunger over our lives.Every day, PMA works worldwide to ensure that no child is hungry and that the poorest and poorest, especially women and children, can access the nutritional foods they need.The purpose of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is to serve as one of the main mechanisms of quality control of the PMA programs, ensuring accountability towards beneficiaries and participants, promoting the effective use of available resources.The M&E supports the decision -making of programs and allows the PMA to demonstrate the performance and results to donors and other interested parties.
Purpose of the position
The head of the position is expected to support the development and implementation of monitoring, evaluation and reports aligned with the PMA corporate standards to generate quality evidence on the life of the beneficiaries and inform the design and implementation of policies, strategies and programs.This includes support in the coordination of monitoring activities.The person under the supervision of the person in charge of the unit will be responsible for supporting the activities of the projects in the country office and supporting with various initiatives.
Key responsibilities
The hired person must carry out analytical work and work closely with colleagues from the Programs Unit and Focal Points in the field in order to collect supplies and design relevant information parts for the different internal and external reports.It will support the operational information management processes of the country office and prepare reports that account for the results of specific projects that facilitate informed and timely decision making at all levels of the organization.
Detail of responsibilities
• Data collection and analysis: Support in the planning and design of tools for data collection following the guidelines developed by the country office and analysis of process and result indicators.
• Quality control: support the implementation of data quality controls in the stages of the monitoring cycle, ensuring that the data and reports are appropriate and quality.
• Supervision of information lifting: Support in the management and supervision of cabinet and field of the collection of baselines data, process monitoring, results, using the tools, manuals and corporate guides developed by the country office.
• Preparation of reports: Contribute to the writing of reports on the progress of the activities, projects and programs implemented using the formats established by the RAM unit.
• Internal meetings: participate in internal planning meetings, knowledge exchange and experiences that promote the importance of monitoring and evaluation and socialization of results on the progress of activities and projects implemented.
• Training: Take courses in virtual mode suggested by the country office to know the WFP policies on, security, ethics, behavior, fraud and corruption and courses linked to monitoring and evaluation.
• Training: Support in training processes to pollsters involved in a better quality of information collected.
• M&E Strategy: Provide supplies for the implementation of the M&E strategy of the country office and the monitoring, review and evaluation plans, aligning with the corporate standards of PMA.
• Carry out other activities required at the request of the person in charge of the unit and that are linked to the purpose of the position.
Minimum ratings
a) registration in force in a university degree program and have completed at least two years of the program;either,
b) recently graduated person in a university or postgraduate university program (minimum two months).
Skills
a) Use of Office 365 tools. Advanced knowledge in spreadsheets (Excel) is
b) Oral and written communication, including analysis and reporting skills
c) Provision to make field visits and interact with different partners and interested parties.
d) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
